Founded by leaders who clearly understand the consequences of being unprepared.

Sterling Readiness Group is a Nashville, Tennessee based Soldier-owned firm that builds, integrates, and operates AI enabled readiness systems. Our exercise solutions prepare trainees across the five operational domains of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO): land, sea, air, space, and cyber.

Our team came out of strategic, operational, and technical roles where decisions were, at times, made with incomplete information and real stakes. That experience is the reason our work is direct. We empower you to define the threat, model the risk, build the capability, then prove it under pressure. Hope is not a strategy.

The same class of problem, in three very different rooms.

We work with defense and government organizations, as well as commercial enterprises, that face the same class of problems. We understand concentrated risk, fast-moving threats, and the pressure to reduce cost without reducing capability. We provide dynamic, cost-effective, cloud-based solutions that deliver real results.

Defense and government

Training officers, planners, and program managers who need more repetitions than a live exercise budget allows.

Commercial enterprise

Security teams, SOC leads, and IT leadership carrying concentrated risk and real regulatory consequence.

Facilities and events

Base security, event safety, and critical-infrastructure teams responsible for their areas of operation.

Two disciplines behind every engagement: the operator and the counsel.

Attorney · CISSP · CCSP · CISM · CISA · HCISPP · PCI QSA

Michael is an attorney and information security professional who works where technical exposure meets legal and organizational consequence. His practice covers information risk management, security governance, enterprise risk management, AI governance, and threat modeling, backed by hands-on work in data protection and privacy, cloud security, regulatory compliance, internal audit, and incident response across complex organizations.

His legal training shapes how Sterling reports risk. A vulnerability becomes a regulatory, liability, and governance question that executives and boards can act on. His current focus is governance frameworks for AI security and information risk that align with enterprise risk management and hold up in real organizations, not just on paper.

  1. 01

    Simplify the problem

Strip the requirement down to what actually drives the outcome. Most readiness programs fail on complexity, not on effort.

  2. 02

    Optimize before you automate

Make the essential process fast and correct first. Automating a broken workflow only makes it fail faster.

  3. 03

    Prove it under load

Exercise the system, measure the result, and report the gap honestly. Readiness that has not been tested is an assumption.
